He’s gone

(Michael) Nathaniel Eichner
July 9, 1950-November 30, 2012
Memory Eternal

He died very peacefully–his breathing just stopped. I was in the room with him, holding his hand.

The funeral will be on Monday. We’re all in shock–even though it was expected, we thought we had a few more days–but trying to support each other as best we can. And the church community here in Eugene has been amazing.

Maureen, I am so sorry…I know how you feel because I went through the same thing, hoping I would have more time with my mom but she just held on until my son and I got there. It’s a wonder, this verse/chant kept playing in my mind yesterday “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” May the Lord’s utmost comfort and mercies be poured upon you and your loved ones. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers, Luchie and Brad
